No Longer Works With My iPhone 6/Jarv/Polar Bluetooth Apps

I used Digifit with my Jarv heart rate strap for more than a year with an iPhone 5, then upgraded to iPhone 6, and found that Digifit could no longer connect with the Jarv, although another app, Heart Rate, continues to work perfectly with. Another app, PrimalBeat, continued to work wth the Jarv, although it gave erroneous reading for HRV. As a result I bought a Polar heart rate belt, but Digifit cannot connect with it, although both the Heart Rate and PrimalBear ape work perfectly with it. I like the Digifit app, but no longer can use it. Help!

Loved this app but no Apple Watch support

I used this app with a Scosche heart rate monitor, but then bought an Apple Watch which it does not support. I contacted the developers and they said that there would soon be support. That was months ago. With the new OS for the watch and third party developers now having the ability to use the watchs heart rate monitor, I was hoping for great things. Nothing happening yet. I still have the app on my iPhone, but Im losing hope.

really bad app

just bad

So far, so good! -- over 4 years - still love it!!!!

About to pair with Withings body scale and collect even more data. Finally, something for an iPhone!!! years later now - I like customizing... Very simple for me. I use a polar chest monitor. I want to see my heart rate and track over time. Tried many apps and this is still my go-to-app!

No FitBit Heart rate!

After you buy the sensor upgrade you will learn it does not get the Fitbit heart rate. (Avoid this app if you want to use FitBit Charge HR)

Scosche MyTrek no longer supported!

Ive used this Digifit app with the Scosche MyTrek heart rate monitor for a while and it worked just fine. I upgraded to an iPhone 6 and re-installed the updated Digifit app and discover that it no longer support the MyTrek, only newer HR monitors?!?! Seriously?? Wow, Ive paid for the support of the MyTrek monitor and now I can no longer use it with the new updated app because theyve decided to only support newer devices!!! I now have a useless app that Ive paid for but cant no longer use with my existing device! Stay clear of this app if you plan on using your existing device for a while cause they may drop support for it in a Heart Beat!!!

What did you do?

I loved this app until the last update. Now it wont even open. I cant use anymore. It opens a screen with a runner on a bridge then immediately shuts down and goes back to an icon on my phone. I thought I might need an update, but no such luck. I guess Ill look for another app.

Great - Only if you are in the US -update...and now everywhere.

Digifit is a great activity tracker. Version 8.0 has all the blows and whistles to be considered the best app in town. Regretfully, the guys at Santa Barbara decided to abandon their ex-US customers. The calorie count algorithm does not work with the metric system and as a result significantly reduced calorie count is displayed and tracked. The responsive customer service admits it, but yet 5 weeks after the release of this version there is no cure and no anticipated date for a release of a fix. WHAT A SHAME!!!! So, if you are not in the US, just forget about it and go elsewhere! Finally ver 8.01 fixed the calorie count algorithm for the metric system, so iCardio is usable again and great. I would give it 5 stars if it wouldnt have taken that long to fix it.

Very helpful app for exercise tracking

I love this app. I rely on it during walking and biking to count my steps and pumps. Just having it engaged whilst taking on any physical activity keeps me motivated. Thank you!

Digifit

This app tracks activity in so many ways with a wide variety of heart rate monitors. Ive used the app for over a year and seen great improvements

MY BAD: Broke Notifications on iPad Air

Sorry, My mistake was that I unknowingly disabled notifications with Do Not Disturb. Please disregard the following: After a year of working with support to get Notifications working and finally getting them to work, i.e., Banners, this update broke them -- no banners, again. Please fix and have your developer(s) test features on iPads before releasing updates to the public. It would be greatly appreciated. I would pay 4x what youre charging for this app/ service as Im convinced its the best out there to suit my needs. Just needs some tweaking and restoration of features to be solid. Thanks

Cant sign in as a new user

Doesnt work (on a 5s). Its impossible to creat a new user account from the app screen. The form Jumps up the page and the keyboard disappears. I dont log in with FB ever.

Getting Worde

After update. App no longer finds my polar monitor/ Runkeeper finds it just fine. Also, does not upload results properly to Runkeeper. Look elsewhere!

Semi compatible with Fitbit

Paid $7.99 in app purchase to discover my Fitbit Charge HR sensor and guess what. This app does not support reading Heart Rate data from the surge or HR. Lesson here..., read the fine print.

Rich in features, but be careful in customizing

Hands-down, my favorite fitness app. I enjoy how comprehensive it’s spread of data is, which is nicely integrated into their website for easy and useful access, too. However, be careful of customizing features. After changing the default zone to match my fitness, elements such as notifications stopped working. Audible notifications (Chimes) could also be significantly louder — hardly if ever heard while other audio is being played. I don’t think there is another fitness app our there that is as versatile and useful as Digifit’s iCardio. Good job, guys!

Very bad

This app does not recognize a Polar WearLink heart rate sensor nor a Accuro heart rate monitor. Their support is poor, they never responded and the app is not easy to enroll in. Keep looking for another heart rate app to track heart rate during workouts.

Problem with iPhone 5S?

Cant even get started as its impossible to enter data as a new user. Screen scrolls to bottom after one field is entered and cant move forward. Ive seen other 5S users cite the same problem.

This app does it all

Ive used this app for over a year. Really like the versatility of the types of workouts. Started sharing work outs to the Lose It app which I really enjoy. As soon as Im done with my workout, I transfer calories burned to my daily calorie allowance on Lose It app. Also did the 10 min Cooper fitness test built into the app recently and plan to use it to monitor my fitness level.

Heart sensor

In app purchase too expensive for me to be able to synch heart monitor

Sign up screen broken

Sign up screen scrolls up out of view when trying to create an account. I dont do Facebook. I managed to sign up blind by watching my keystrokes. However Im reluctant to spend 7.99 to get heart monitor support when it looks like this app might be not be maintained anymore.
